Vimeo gets a huge upgrade. →
Just about everything and it’s looking great. Looks like a big focus on discovery and connections, plus they’ve revamped the backend; so great news for everyone who’s making videos.

SoundManager 2 makes it easier to play audio using...
Handy if everyone is using HTML5 and Flash. Small and some cool interfaces for playing back mp3 links. Not in use on jaaam.com but good reference. SoundManager 2 includes a heap of customisables and variables. Have a look at the Wheels Of Steel API demo.

Rdio has opened to Aus and NZ, No One Cares

Using them, they’re pretty rad; choosing random songs out of my head I no longer own, maybe hearing something new. I remember using Pandora quite a bit before they shut up in Australia for licensing, and Last.fm had a similar thing going on. But I never relied on it and I...

“Users plug any contact microphone onto a surface — be it a tree, a cupboard, a piece of glass or even a balloon. They can then record several different types of touch using their hands or any objects that cause a sound — so one sound could be a hand slap, another could be a finger tap and another could be hitting the surface with a drumstick. Users can train the system to detect new...
