  • [Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

A song about learning to be an astronaut from Berlin - Enter The Vortex, every time. Minimal tech elements; basic quick throwup all the way.

Oh my! I was contacted by someone who found my profile at guru.com where I’ve occasionally gotten freelance work from and discovered this little gem from years and years ago which I called Onion Soup for some reason. Nice funky, downtempo tech tune with arpeggios.

A techy exercise with a grimeyish bass and automated variations all around. At the halfway mark I add audio from this strange 7” Flexidisc I got of The Reverend Paul Freyberg’s version of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ in Pidgin and adapted to a Melanesian setting. Read by Superintendent Mike Thomas Choice.

Faze definitely began as an ambient tune until I added some quirky, phasing elements drawing on a pretty early 90s tech influence, particularly as the beats develop. Brings it to a jazzy, latin finish.

Fireban’s a dirty, distorted attack of snares and bass and screeches. Think of Atari Teenage Riot or something with a little more variety.

Shogun Mass is a flea circus block party. Lo-fi, space techno tune that has a Depeche Mode moment in the middle somewhere. Working with broken synthesizers. Probably should go back and channel David Gahan.
